Chronic absenteeism, even in the early grades, can have a significant effect on academic outcomes. Now, through the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), attendance and chronic absenteeism are becoming part of the accountability measures for schools and school systems.
The great news is that there are proven methods for addressing attendance issues that we have tested right here in Central Alabama – and we can share them with you for free!
Bold Goals Education is excited to announce an upcoming workshop for schools and school systems in our five-county region. The focus of the workshop will be on practical tools for, and local success stories about, improving school attendance and reducing chronic absenteeism. The workshop will be held from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 25th at United Way of Central Alabama.
