The Bold Goals Coalition is pleased to welcome Greg King as its incoming Steering Committee Chair. Greg is currently Executive Vice President & Alabama Regional President of First Horizon Bank (formerly IBERIABANK). As a Bold Goals veteran, he previously led the Coalition’s work in the area of Financial Stability and has extensive experience in bringing cross-sector partners together to improve communities.
“I am honored to step into the role of Chair of the Bold Goals Coalition,” Greg said. “We are on track to see measurable progress in some of the Coalition’s priority areas, so I am looking forward to continuing that momentum, bringing new partners into the work and thinking creatively about how we can have an even greater impact in the days ahead.”
In addition to his 23 years of experience at First Horizon, Greg is also deeply committed to the community. He has served on the boards of the Business Council of Alabama, Boy Scouts of America-Greater Alabama Council, Pathways, UAB Collat School of Business and United Way of Central Alabama (UWCA). He was also UWCA’s Campaign Chair in 2020, leading a team that surpassed its goal and raised $36 million to go toward funding community non-profits, programs and services.
Greg now steps into a role that was previously held by Bill Jones, who led many of the Coalition’s initiatives in health and education through the years, including spearheading the Building (it) Together report, a blueprint for aligning Central Alabama educational systems and employers in our region.
